"The Toxaway Falls Garden Club is a garden club located at Lake Toxaway, NC. Our goals are to beautify the community, provide education to our members, and support the local community. In addition to holding monthly meeting with speakers for our members, we sponsor the 5th Grade "Tigers Junior Garden Club" at TC Henderson Elementary School. We provide monthly speakers or projects for these 5th Graders during the school year, as well as funds for Leadership training for the children. When these students move on to Rosman High School, and are ready to graduate, they are eligible to apply for our College Scholarships. The funding for these scholarships is obtained through donations from our members as well as various fund raisers the club may hold during the year. Because we are not a 501c3, all the funds raised during the year are put in the Community Focus Foundation as a "depository" until we are ready to distribute the funds to the various colleges the students plan on attending. Since 2007, we have given over $50,000 in scholarships to students who have attended such schools as Appalachian State University, UNC Asheville, Western Carolina University, Brevard College and Blue Ridge Community College. In many cases, these students are the first in their family to attend college. Without the aid of the CFF, and the leadership and guidance from Susan Threlkel, we would not be able to easily provide this service, We appreciate their assistance with these Scholarships."

"The Community Focus Foundation is a terrific asset to our community. Being able to have a Community Initiative Project Fund saved us from the overhead, both financial and organizational, of becoming a 501(c)3 and yet has enabled us to accept tax deductible donations from the get go. The service they provide to us is well worth the very small fee they charge. Thanks, CFF, we appreciate what you do for us!"

"The Transylvania Farmers' Market would not be where we are today had it not been for the help of the Community Focus Foundation. They were there for us at a critical time in our growth, and the ability to accept donations through CFF allowed us to continue to develop and expand while we worked toward becoming a 501(c)3. Susan was a wealth of information and so incredibly supportive... had it not been for her and CFF, our Market would not have had such incredible success in such a short amount of time. We are now proud to be a 501(c)3 organization and we are forever thankful for the part Community Focus Foundation played in that.
